Doctor Who star Peter Capaldi has given fans a glimpse of his upcoming, spine-chilling series for Prime Video.
The Devil’s Hour stars Capaldi as Gideon, a reclusive nomad with a murderous obsession. Alongside the Scottish actor, there’s Jessica Raine in the role of protagonist Lucy, a woman who is woken every night at exactly 3.33am – knowns at the devil’s hour – with terrifying visions.
“The nature of the piece is quite spectacularly dark and that can be quite enjoyable,” Capaldi said of the show (via RadioTimes.com).

Created by Tom Moran, the show sees Sherlock‘s Steven Moffat and Sue Vertue serving as executive producers.
“Everything starts with the scripts and Tom’s scripts were wonderful and inventive and such a brilliant idea at the core,” Capaldi continued.
“Kind of an aspect of it is that you should listen to your nightmares, because they may be communicating with you in some way.”
The former Time Lord has also given details of Gideon’s relationship to Raine’s Lucy and her son.
“Jess plays a character who Gideon has absolutely targeted. He is coming for her, he is coming for her child, he will not be stopped. But the reason that he’s doing it is not what you think… or maybe it is,” Capaldi teased.

Recently, the Paddington star congratulated Sex Education actor Ncuti Gatwa on being cast as the next Doctor.
“What a great story – a little boy whose family escaped from the genocide in Rwanda in 1994 and at age 2, finds refuge in Scotland, where he grows up to become Doctor Who,” Capaldi said.
“That’s a story to be proud. With his huge talent and heart, I know Ncuti will make an amazing Doctor. How exciting.”
The Devil’s Hour will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
